"It's a great program. It's great for kids on many different levels. I'd recommend for all ages. For kids who love theatre, NCT teaches them great skills they'll need to know. For kids who don't really 'love' theatre, it teaches them to be fun and creative and use their imagination."

Performance Camps for ages 10-18

Junior Artists Production - Disney’s Frozen Jr.

In this three-week production day-camp students go from script to stage working under the direction of some of NCT's best teaching artists (directed by professional Equity Actor/Director, Shawn Knight, choreographed by Equity Actor/Choreographer, Rona Carter, and Music Directed by SAG Actor (and our own Disney Princess Ariel), Catherine Birdsong). Located at our satellite location at Ensworth High School and staged in their beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre.

This production is for all skill levels and works on growing confidence, performance skills, and ensemble building. Students in these camps come out of this experience as a tightly knit group, and remain forever friends. A fantastic experience that your 10-14 student won't want to miss!

The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for your Broadway Junior stars! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Emerging Artists Production - Songs for a New World

This intensive, professionally run production has all the trimmings. It is professionally designed (sets, costumes, lights), and is produced on our professional main stage at NCT. The show will be directed by our Education Director, Alicia Fuss and music directed by Shawn Knight. The process is run like a professional production and is perfect for the student looking to grow and hone their Triple Threat status.

This contemporary song cycle weaves characters and history together, illuminating the timelessness of self-discovery. It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back.

The first musical from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown, this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make. With a score that runs the gamut of today's popular music, Songs for a New World will challenge Emerging Artists as they explore musical storytelling in a completely fresh way.

Ages: 14-18
Rehearsal Dates: July 1-July 25, Monday-Friday: 4-9 pm; Saturdays: 10 am - 6 pm; Sunday, July 21: 1-7 pm (Some cast members may be called the week of July 24th based on availability.)
