"If only I could make my father understand. I don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be so bad. "
In a kingdom beneath the sea, King Triton’s youngest daughter Ariel yearns to have her questions answered about the human world. When she saves the handsome Prince Eric from drowning, Ariel begins to discover her own voice with the help of her friends – even after the tricky sea witch silences her. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved fairy tales, this classic will be given its own dose of NCT magic. Performed with a live orchestra!
Due to contractual guidelines NCT must enforce a very strict No Refunds or Exchange Policy with this show.
The puppets used in NCT’s production were designed and built by Brian Hull of Nashville Public Library and Wishing Chair Productions.
BRIAN HULL (Puppet Design) created Wishing Chair Productions at Nashville Public Library in 1997, continuing the library’s tradition of storytelling with puppets and is the artistic director for NPL’s International Puppet Festivals. He has his own company outside the library – BriAnimations Living Entertainment. He is also the writer and director for Dollywood’s Imagination Library shows.

IN THE WINGS: NCT BEHIND THE SCENES
Nashville Children's Theatre builds all of our productions right here in Nashville. From concept to construction, our artisans create original designs for each production. Go under the sea and see the sketches of our scenery, costumes and puppets and compare them to the real thing that makes it onstage!
The handmade papercut artwork for our 2018-19 season was created by Vaclav Bicha.
HELP OTHER KIDS RUN LIKE GHOST!
When you attend the new play Ghost we encourage you to bring gently used or brand new sneakers, cleats, and/or ballet shoes. A collection box will be in the lobby.
A big-hearted, ambitious Tennessee girl attended a workshop reading of Ghost a few months ago, and was inspired to work across her community to collect shoes for those who are in need.
