NCT is founded on the belief that a cultural heritage is the right of ALL children. Outside our year-round camps and classes, we offer a wide variety of programs for students in their community and schools.
Each year, after-school workshops, in-class workshops, residencies, community events, and professional development for educators are all made possible thanks to major support provided by the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Metro Nashville Arts Commission!
These programs provide rich opportunities for participants to create meaningful, personal connections with the artistry on NCT's stage, deepening their experience with us, or to overcome barriers that make it difficult for the participant to visit NCT. For students who otherwise would not be able to have a comprehensive arts experience, our community programs encourage critical and creative thinking and support high levels of achievement throughout their school career.
The following partners are a crucial component to the success of these programs:
Vanderbilt Kennedy Center TRIAD, Girls, Inc., Girl Scouts of America, YWCA, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Alignment Nashville, the Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA) and The Martha O'Bryan Center.
