Nashville Children's Theatre presents

Still Life with IrisSTILL LIFE WITH IRIS
A beautiful, original vision by Steven Dietz, one of America's most imaginative contemporary playwrights

April 28 - May 17, 2009

As you sleep, the moon is placed in the sky as the Flower Painters, Bug Sculptors, Thunder Bottlers, Leaf Monitors and other citizens of the Land of Nocturno busily prepare for your next day. Iris, Finder of Lost Things, is taken from her home against her will by the enigmatic Mr. Matternot. Whisked away to the Great Island, she is placed into their collection of the Best of the Best Things.  So that she will not be sad, the memories of her family are taken from her, all except one.  Compelled by that lone memory (a still life of a table, vase, iris and three chairs), assisted by the beautiful young Annabel Lee and the 11-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this determined Finder of Lost Things will find herself, her father and her way home.  Like the play's heroine, you will never forget the simple beauty of Still Life With Iris.

Enjoyed by all ages
